How much does a small business website cost?
Two ways. Pay Monthly starts from £75 a month with little or nothing upfront, covering design, build, UK hosting, updates and support. Bigger builds may have a setup fee to keep the monthly down, always quoted upfront. Or buy it outright on one fixed quote, agreed before we start. Why do you recommend custom PHP over WordPress?
Because it's faster, more secure and there's nothing to break. No theme carrying code you don't use, no page builder bloating every page, no plugins clashing after an update. That said, WordPress is the right tool for some jobs, and we build and support it properly too. See our WordPress and WooCommerce services.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes, if that's what you want. We can build in simple editing for the things you change often, or build on WordPress if you'll be editing a lot. Many clients prefer to just send us their changes, and on Pay Monthly that's included. We'll build what fits how you actually work.
How long does it take to build a website?
It depends on the scope. A straightforward business site can be done in a matter of weeks; a larger site with booking or quote tools takes longer. We give you a realistic timeline when we scope the project, and we stick to it.
Do you only work with businesses in Yorkshire?
No. We're based in Yorkshire but build websites for businesses right across the UK. Everything works just as well over WhatsApp and email, and you always deal directly with the people doing the work.
Is there a contract or minimum term on Pay Monthly?
No minimum term - just give 30 days' notice to leave. While you're on the plan the site is licensed to you, and everything is set out clearly before you start. If you'd rather own it outright once it's paid for, choose the fixed quote option instead.
Will my new site keep my Google rankings?
We plan for it from the start. When we replace an existing site we map old pages to new ones with proper redirects, keep the content that's working and fix what isn't, so search equity carries over. Every page is built with clean structure, fast load times and the right signals for search.
Can you add a booking system or quote calculator?
Yes. Booking calendars, quote calculators, smart enquiry forms and integrations with tools you already use are all things we build. For bigger tools, portals or systems, have a look at custom apps and tools.
